Trick or Treat

Our ward had a Trunk or treat night friday. Just about everyone wore there costimes. Our bishop wore a really convincing pirate costume. Sofia had two costumes this year. One is a nyusta Inca, or Inca Princess and the other is a bailarina costume. Depending on the temperature of the night was the deciding factor for which one she would wear. That night was a little chilly so she wore this beautiful outfit her grandma Leonor sent her. Leonor actually bought this for Sofia right after she was born and it has not fit her until now. Baby Caleb was dressed as a teddy bear. He is the cutest little guy. This outfit was great because it made him so much more snuggly and it was also very thick to keep him warm.

Here Sofia was modeling her princees outfit for our neighbor Mona.

Sofia dancing around waiting for Daddy to come home so she could go to the party.

My birthday

October 27th was Elizabeths birthday. She got all dolled up for our date. We dropped the kids at a babysitter and headed over to Studio Movie Grill. The idea is to order and eat dinner while you watch a movie. Each row in the theatre is wider and in front of each couple of chairs is a table. When you are ready to order or need service you have a light up coaster to announce you need something. The food was pretty good and they actually came fairly fast. We watched the movie Couples Retreat. I'm not sure which was better the food or the movie, but we had a great time.

ELMO IS BACK

About five months ago Sofia would watch Elmo's world shows almost every day. She called him Lala, because that is what he says in his theme song. She put him aside for a while as Dora, Diego, and others took his place. Except, this day she wanted Elmo everything, and now he's Elmo and she can say other things about him that she couldn't before.

ABC school celebrate Samantha's Birthday

Samantha Mills celebrated her 2nd birthday at ABC school. Sofia, Isaac, and Evan, were happy to celebrate with her. Bonnie, Samantha's mom, brought cupcakes and little toys for each of the kids. She also had balloons and other games special for the birthday. The kids have so much fun together. Since this school started they have really gotten to know one another. Oh no, that sounds too grown up!

Caleb at 6 month

Such a handsome little man. That is Caleb. He holds his head up and wiggles around on the floor. He cannot crawl yet, but is somewhat mobile as he wriggles from his back. I've seen him go for a couple of feet that way. His two front bottom teeth are trying to emerge. He calls Sofia to play with him. He loves to be held and we love holding him and kissing his super soft skin.

He has two bouncers which he enjoys while mommy is busy. He can do most of the appartus and stuff things in his mouth. He is eating a few foods that require chewing, like gerber puffs, to get him used to the motions. His height is in the 95th percentile and is weighing in the 75th.
He is easy going and loving. We hope he is just as easy going in the next six months.

Sofia at 28 months

Sofia is growing more and more. She is tall for her age and also pretty strong. Her hair is getting longer and fuller. It has lightened from a darker brown to a little shade lighter. That may be from the summer sun, but we just can't tell yet. She loves to sing, and especially dance. She loves to have mommy dress her up pretty. Sometimes she chooses her own dresses she wants to wear.

Some of her favorite things right now are: Wonderpets, Max and Ruby, Tv shows, the book, "Buenas Noches Gorila", eating cupcakes, playing with her friends and Baby Caleb. Sofia can say great prayers now too. She is beginning to understand some of the words used in prayer and is so cute when she tells Heavenly Father about her time outs and pow pows. Just a sweet little doll is Sofia.

On the phone with papi

Every weekday when Caleb gets off from work he calls us to let us know that he is on his way. Sofia waits for that call desperatelly because she knows she can talk to Papi all by herself. It's so cute. She tells him all about her day and what she wants to play when he gets home.
